Turney, Esq.  Established in 1973, the firm has over 30 years of experience helping clients with their estate and tax planning, advanced health care directives, and powers of attorney needs. 

In order to assist their clients more effectively, several employees of the firm have completed at least 30 hours of hospice volunteer training.

James J. Wochner, Esq., earned his economics and Juris Doctor degrees from St. Louis University.  During law school, Mr. Wochner taught high school math and history and coached boys’ athletics.  After moving to Chicago, Mr. Wochner first served as trust counsel for the trust department at First National Bank of Chicago where he accumulated extensive knowledge of estate and trust planning as well as estate and gift tax law. 

Then, in 1973, Mr. Wochner opened his own private practice, The Wochner Law Firm, located on  Chicago's North Shore.  Mr. Wochner is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and past president of the American Association of Trust, Estate, and Elder Law Attorneys (AATEELA).
